Global Trade Expert Appointed to Global Sources' Board of Directors

HONG KONG, July 31 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Global Sources'
board of directors has appointed Robert Lees, 58, as a member of the
board, effective July 30, 2007. Lees fills a vacancy on the board,
bringing the total number of directors to eight.

board, effective July 30, 2007. Lees fills a vacancy on the board,
bringing the total number of directors to eight. Global Sources' Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Merle A.

Lees has nearly 30 years of international business experience with
much of it focused on the Asia-Pacific region. His previous positions
include:

His current memberships and affiliations include:

Lees holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati
and an MBA from The Thunderbird School of Management. He also completed
studies at the Institute of International Studies and Training in Japan.
His term of office extends through Global Sources' Annual General
Meeting next year, at which time his re-appointment to the board will
then be subject to shareholder approval.
